The Methodology
Edeniste together with the Japanese fragrance house Takasago leveraged a variety of scientific methods and technologies to assess the action of the patented and proven molecules and olfactive accords:
· EEG recordings coupled with CNV* analysis (*Contingent Negative Variation Analysis), a method of indexing gradual potential changes in the human brain, mental processes, and arousal levels (Relax, Wellbeing, and Energy)
· fMRI (functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) measures brain activity by detecting changes associated with blood flow (Seduction and Happiness)
· Saliva test, measuring biomarkers in saliva (cortisol and alpha amylase) after a stressful task (all Edeniste Eau de Parfums )
· Biosensors test, measuring our physiological parameters such as heartrate, electrodermal activity, blood flow, skin conductance, muscle tension – used to test the scientifically proven ingredients and molecules in all the active Lifeboost®.
THE CLINICAL TRIALS: Each Edeniste Lifeboost® was tested using the Biosensors by Dr Jeremie Topin, who meassured each participant’s physiological parameters such as heartrate, electrodermal activity, blood flow, skin conductance, muscle tension.
THE CLAIM:The results and data support the hypothesis that the Edeniste Lifeboost® active essences had a positive impact on the physiological responses, that align with the emotional claim of each of the Lifeboost® active essences.
Dr. Topin states “Our measurements have shown a real modulation of the emotional sphere following olfactory stimulations by the Edeniste fragrances. The modulation of emotions by fragrances is a current topic & Audrey was able to bring passion and scientific rigor to her olfactory creation Edeniste.”
