How does Edeniste commit to Earth Day ?

That is why Edeniste has chosen to support 1% for the Planet on Earth Day 2024 with the following 3 main actions :

1. Donating an extra £1 for each purchase on Earth Day 2024

On April 22nd worldwide, Earth Day reminds us how important it is to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, it now implies more than 193 countries. Safeguarding the planet for future generations is a priority.

Millions of people all around the world take part in events to demonstrate their commitment to environmental issues. We believe everyone has a role to play in preserving the planet and building a more sustainable future.

That is why each year Edeniste donate 1% of its gross revenue to sustainability organisations, 1% for the Planet. In addition to that promise, on April 22nd, Edeniste commits to donating £1 of every purchase to 1% for the Planet to help organisations fight for climate change and take action.

2. Using Organic & Ethical ingredients

Edeniste fragrances are crafted with the finest essences and ingredients sourced from natural and renewable resources, comprising up to 98% of natural-origin ingredients, including plant-derived beet alcohol. Edeniste prioritises organic ingredients to safeguard biodiversity and sources ethical ingredients that support local communities worldwide.

The decision was made not to exclusively use 100% natural fragrances, as “natural” isn't always the most environmentally friendly option. Sourcing natural ingredients from distant locations can leave a significant carbon footprint, and the extraction process often contributes to soil erosion and deforestation. Therefore, synthetic alternatives can sometimes offer a more ecologically sound solution.

Edeniste perfumes are produced in France, and its packaging materials such as outer boxes, inner cartons, and other items like bags, are crafted from FSC certified paper sourced from responsibly managed forests, with 40% of the paper being recycled. The glass bottles are also recyclable. We optimise water, CO2, and waste consumption to minimise our environmental footprint, aiming for a net zero impact.
